The Chronicle of a Death Foretold(Marquez 46-143)

Summary
Angela Vicario's wedding was extravagant. People partied all night and everyone who lived in the town expected a piece of cake. The wedding had one unexpected turn. Roman left Angela five hours after the wedding when found out that she was not pure. Her mother physically assaulted her because of the ignominy she brought to the family. She told her brothers that Santiago Nasar was the one who took her virginity. They both went near Santiago's house to assassinate him. They told as many people as they could about what they were going to do. they even told a police office and he did not believe them. he simply took their knives away from the. After that they took another knife from butchered house, which was where they slaughtered their pigs. Though people knew about the killing, none of the stopped it though each of them had a nuanced reason for not stopping it.  many people thought that the twins were not capable of killing anyone especially Pablo. They were less fond of Pedro because he was in the military. Their assumption was true because primarily Pablo wanted to back up but could not because of Pedro. The twins terrorized Santiago until his intestine was out. Many of his organs were damaged due to the injuries and he died minutes after the stabbing. Finally Angela found her love who fled away from her, after writing many letters. many people were dubious of Angela's story.

Reaction
After she said that i began to question myself whether he did it or not. Even if he did it, i do not think he deserved to die because he did not coerce her to do it. I think what Angela's bothers did was absurd. God does not give anyone the right to someone just because they think they committed a crime which in this case was not. I  think Santiago died because everyone in the town were self-centered and also underestimated human emotions. They thought that they knew the brothers well enough to determine that they can not kill someone. They were wrong, at the brothers proved them wrong. At the very least, his fiance could save him and she did not because she was thinking about her future instead of his life. As the narrator said, i think Angela said it was Santiago because he was rich and thought that her brothers would not attack him. How come when they asked her who did it again she could not say any name. I think she could say his name because she was remorseful about what she said about Santiago, which cost him his life.

Summary
Before Santiago Nasar died, he dreamed about trees. Though his mother was a dream interpreter, she could not see his death coming. He tought that day was beautiful. He was all dressed up. People who described him, did so similar to his father. He was a very cautioous man especially when it came to the use of his gun. His mother thought that his dreams would bring him health but paid no attention to the trees which met the opposite. He had inherited many things from his arab father anfd his mother that served him. He relinguished his secondary studies due to his father's death which really affected the family. Victoria Guzman was one of the people who detested Santiago whereas her daughter feel the exact opposite feeling fo Santiago. Santiago was every women's dream man which seem,ed to be reasonable because of all he did. Everyone in town assumed that he knew that they were coming to kill him but in fact he did not. When he was going to the Bishop's arrival, everyone was suspectious because his killers were following him. People who found out that he did not know about the plot against him tried to warn him but were too late. Bayardo was the man that came to town, who every lady felt the urge of marrying him, but he chose Angela. Angela had her own dark secret. Though he had not been wed before, she was not a virgin which presented a challenge to her.

Reaction
I think that no one was willing to step forward and told him because they knew what he did was wrong. They did not want to interfere and at the same time noe wanted to anyone die. I think the lady who cooked at his house did not warn him because he touched her daughter inapproprietely.  This was enough for her to wish for his death. she was glad they killed him.
